Foothills of Apalta, with presence of clay but mainly granitic soil.
70% Syrah – 30% Mourvèdre
Hand harvest at first time in the morning. Syrah fermented in french oak foudre while Mourvèdre on stainless steel tanks before going to 500 litres barrels. Ageing lasted for 18 months first separately and then as a blend to allowed the natural integration and harmony of its components.
Exuberant but fresh, elegant but crispy, and all the time pleasant. Violet notes, red fruits, eucalyptus and mint compose the aromatic profile of this unique wine. A rare combination for Chilean viticulture that shows our terroir ability to develop great wines with the style of Apalta.
